If you’ve never been to Tahoe before then this is a great way to get to know where and what a lot of the locals get into in the summer months. For a one day + night here you got to start by heading to Rosie’s Cafe for breakfast. It’s a staple here in Tahoe City and if you want a big delicious breakfast this is the spot. The decor is  fun + the zucchini bread is beyond amazing.

After your big breakfast head a couple miles up the road and you will be at the Truckee River Rafting Company for some tubing down the Truckee River. One tip is if you already have a raft/tube no need to buy one! You can just shoot out from the area of the Truckee River Rafting Company, but if you need a tube then it’s also a great place to rent one. Also remember to bring refreshments; it’s about a 2 hrs floating experience down the river.

After a long day of floating the only place to go is basically where you started tubing in Tahoe City and that’s called Bridgetender Tavern and Grill. This cozy hideaway has some impeccable views being right by the Truckee River. They also have an outdoor patio area that is Perfect for summertime. Highly recommend the burgers and mozzarella sticks.

Now for some relaxing and the spot for that is Cedar Crest Lodge. This place is well stunning . If you are looking for a little quiet and luxury then this is the spot. I especially love making s’mores by their outdoor fire pits.
